The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has allowed unprecedented parking/camping for the upcoming USA Pro Cycling Challenge bike race.
Parking and camping will be allowed along Colorado highways right-of-ways(Including US Hwy 50 and CO Hwy 135) as long as:
the camping is less than 24 hrs. in one spot;
all vehicles, including trailers, must be parked entirely off the traveled portion of the highway (including the shoulders) and NOT block access to private property;
all vehicles, including trailers, may not pose a safety risk to the motoring public regardless of parking or camping area; and
all spectators will ensure their areas are clean of debris and trash promptly after the race passes.
If any area becomes overwhelmed with vehicles, CDOT and the Colorado State Patrol may clear the area and require vehicles to more to another location.
