The Gunnison Nordic Club is holding it's Annual Kenny Mac Nordic Fun Event this Saturday, January 26th starting at 10am at Mill Creek. The event is sponsored by Acli-Mate. All ages and skiing abilities are welcome to participate. Races range from 1km to 30km and are for kids to adults. The adults ski off at 11am and the kids follow at 11:15am. There will be an after-ski party in the Mill Creek parking lot. Registration starts at 10am in the Mill Creek parking lot and there is a registration fee. The Kenny Mac Nordic Fun Event is named in honor of Ken McLennan, who passed away in June 2011. Ken was the first Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Gunnison and was a well-known and respected local sports enthusiast in th Valley.
