COLUMBUS DAY SCHEDULE

The City of Gunnison is observing the Columbus Day Federal Holiday on Monday, October 8th.  Listed below are the associated scheduling changes for our customers and visitors. 

REFUSE:  if your trash and recyclables are usually picked up on Monday, they will be picked up on Tuesday, October 9th.  If you have any questions, contact the Public Works Department at 641-8020. 

COMMUNITY/AQUATICS CENTER:  There will be modified hours on Monday, October 8th.  The building and pools will open at 8am and close at 8pm.  There will be NO early morning swim on Monday.  The climbing wall will be open from 2pm to 7pm.  The Lesiure and Lap Pools will be open from 8am to 7:45pm with OPEN Swim, including the slides and sprays, from 12 Noon to 7:45pm. 

The Parks & Recreation Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, October 8th.

JORGENSEN INDOOR ICE RINK:  The indoor rink will be in use for the Wooden Nickel Hockey Clinics - a private scheduled clinic - from 8am to 11:45am and again from 1:15pm to 5pm.  Public skating will take place from 12 noon to 1pm.  The full schedule of other uses can be found at www.gunnisonrec.com 

OTHER CITY OFFICES:  Most City offices will be closed on Monday, October 8th.  Utility bills can be deposited in the drop-box located in the alley by the stop sign behind (to the west) of City Hall or through the drop slot in the West Virginia Avenue door of City Hall. 

EMERGENCY SERVICES:  Police, Communications and the Fire Department - will be available for emergencies. Police Records will NOT be open on Monday, October 8th. 

RE1J Schools will also be closed on Monday, October 8th.  Be sure and watch for the kids out and about around he City.  Have a great autumn weekend everyone!
