Trails Work Continues

Work on the VanTuyl Ranch Trails System continues. Two local contractors, Ray Excavation and Spallone Construction have been working on the western loop extension on the City-owned ranch. A small bridge was installed, fill material hauled & placed, and some grading & compaction has been completed. The trail is still not complete but after joining the two sections and final grading, it should be open for public access in the spring, 2012. Pictured above - Mayor Jonathan Houck and City Manager Ken Coleman try out the "trail in progress".

Hello Snow!

This morning the City awoke to its first real snowfall of the season. We enjoyed a beautiful summer and fall so its time to put the mild weather to rest. Get out those sleds, wax up the skis and dig out the snowshoes!

The 3 to 4" of snow is heavy and wet and there is some ice lurking under that snow. Use caution in driving, especially in the school zones! Remember - you can get anywhere in town in under 10 minutes. And, if you see the City Streets & Alleys crews out clearing the streets, help them out and give them room to do their jobs!
